We are pleased to announce that we are now a certified Heart Health Provider!
Through the efforts of Spirit of Women and Mercy Hospital Anderson we are pleased to be able to be a part of this new program. Heart disease remains the leading cause of death in women and men in the US today. The good news is heart disease is primarily preventable. Our goal is to inspire women to care about Heart Disease and identify their own risks.
"HeartCaring"
HeartCaring is a physician-based clinical outreach program with a focus on a gender-specific approach to cardiovascular disease. With educational support from the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute, the program is designed to motivate women to take action to protect their hearts. Certified HeartCaring hospitals and physician practices subscribe to a set of standards acknowledging and practicing a gender-based approach to heart disease.

IMPORTANT NEW TEST NOW AVAILABLE!
We are pleased to introduce a new test available in the fight against breast cancer! The new HALOTM Pap Test for the Breast is a simple, five-minute test. Like a Pap test for cervical cancer, this new test is looking for abnormal cells in breast fluid, before larger, potentially cancerous lesions might develop.
For decades, clinicians have known that breast fluid (called Nipple Aspirate Fluid or NAF) can be an indicator of a woman's breast health. What is new is the ability to perform this test in our office with a device that is quick, noninvasive, and repeatable. As of now we are one of a few offices in the Greater Cincinnati area that has this capability.
Call and schedule with us today for the HALO Breast Pap test. This test can be done at anytime. There is no need to wait for your yearly exam. In the meantime, if you have any questions about this new test, please do not hesitate to call us at 513-474-2870 or visit www.paptestforthebreast.com
BRACAnalysis: For women with a personal or family history of breast/ovarian cancer.
BRACAnalysis is a blood test that detects mutations in the genetic code of BRCA1 and BRCA2. Only a small blood sample is taken for analysis.
Who should think about BRACAnalysis?
Women who have a personal or family history of any of the following:
*Breast cancer...
- before age 50
- in 2 or more relatives
- in both breasts or twice in the same
breast
- in individuals of Ashkenazi
Jewish descent
*Ovarian cancer at any age
What BRACAnalysis tells you and your family
The test can tell you whether a BRCA1 or BRCA2 mutation runs in your family.
The test results can help your physician estimate your risk for breast or ovarian cancer, so that a personalized cancer risk reduction plan can be developed for you. This test does not tell you whether you have cancer.
